Choosing an intermediate vocational education with a professional MBO Career Test

MBO stands for Secondary Vocational Education. At MBO you can follow all kinds of vocational courses at secondary level. Every year, approximately one million MBO students are engaged in an MBO course. The students follow the MBO training within regional training centers (ROCs). You can follow an MBO course in the Netherlands if you have completed at least a VMBO course or when you have successfully completed an admission test.

What are MBO professions?

The MBO courses train you for professions where you will do more executive work. MBO professions are therefore often practical professions. HBO programs are often also practical, but there is also more theory involved. With more work experience, someone with an MBO diploma can progress to managerial positions.
